David Burn

A life living on the Northumberland coast, combined with over 30 years working at sea travelling the world in the Merchant Navy, has enhanced my love & nurtured a respect for the sea. When ashore, I turn my lens to the familiar local coastline of the North East, drawn to its wide horizons, big skies, shifting light, and weather-worn coastline, combined with the backdrop of many wonderful castles & lighthouses. Working predominantly at dawn, I createimages that reflect both the drama of the North East coast and the contemplative calm found between tides.
